July is Strike Hunger month at First Pres! Through the Relentless Generosity of our Church Family, we’ll feed families struggling with food insecurity during the summer. There are TWO great ways to get involved:
FOOD DONATION | July 2025 | Edington Ministry Center Lobby
We’re partnering with the Christian Service Center to stock their pantry this summer! Deliver shelf-stable food to the EMC Lobby during business hours, M-F, in July. Collection bins will also be available under the Angel Wing on Sunday mornings.
ITEMS NEEDED: Canned goods with pop-tops (soups, ravioli, beans, vegetables, chili, tuna, chicken salad, etc.), cereal, mac & cheese, peanut butter, crackers, Vienna sausage, and other shelf-stable items.

Consider who you’ll invite! Gather eight coworkers, neighbors, friends or family. Together, we’ll serve lunch to our community in need – Loving Our City with warm food and loving care.

As a part of our annual Summer of Service, First Pres is going to the Dominican Republic! We invite you to prayerfully consider this incredible opportunity for you, your friends, your small group, or your entire family.
NOW is your chance to become a part of the Commission127 FAM! Family Helpers serve by providing meals, running errands, assisting with housework, doing yard work, laundry, and helping with other practical tasks to support foster families in our community.
