David and Elisabeth Dwight have been married for 36 years and have two grown children. With a passion to encourage and support married couples, together they have taught a marriage weekend called “The Book on Love – A Biblical Vision for Marriage" for over 15 years. David was raised in the suburbs of New York City and is the co-founder and Senior Pastor of HOPE Church – EPC. Together, David and Elisabeth have weathered many of the ups and downs of life in addition to what comes with church planting and church growth. Elisabeth, from Charlotte, NC, is a Financial Administrator for a real estate investment company. The Dwights have lived in Richmond, VA for 34 years.
“Our marriage is far from perfect since we’re far from perfect, but we’re committed to growing into what God has for us. We’ve had so much learning and various seasons together over the years – and we love doing whatever we can to support couples in the real-life stuff of marriage. We think commitment, vision, and a sense of humor, are all part of a joyful marriage – and one of our favorite phrases is “Don’t quit before the blessing!”
