PASTOR APPRECIATION

On Sunday, October 1, 2023, we celebrated Pastor Appreciation Sunday – coming together as a community and Church Family to honor the unwavering dedication of our pastors and their families in their ministry to our congregation. It was a morning filled with gratitude, love, and heartfelt appreciation for the humble shepherds who guide and nurture us in our journey toward Christlikeness.

Our pastors are more than spiritual leaders; they are friends, mentors, and pillars of strength in our lives. They pour their hearts into our Church Family, equipping us with the wisdom of God's Word and exemplifying Christ's love through their actions. They serve selflessly, always ready to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, and a comforting word. They not only guide us in our faith but also come alongside us in times of joy and sorrow.

We want to extend a sincere THANK YOU to our Ruling Elders for hosting this grand event. Their vision and Godly example for our First Pres Fam is a gift!

Pastor Appreciation Sunday serves as a reminder to always show gratitude to those who pour hope and truth into your life. Please continue to lift up our pastors and their families in your prayers. Set a reminder on your calendar to send them a word of encouragement as we lean into the busy holiday season ahead, and consider how you might show appreciation to others in and around our First Pres community – staff, congregants, partners, and neighbors who come alongside and point you to Jesus.

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:3-6
