(Hours: Weekdays 3-5pm at Heart of Mercy Church, 1531 Mercy Dr. Orlando FL 32808).
There are nearly 70 children (pre-K - 5th grade) traveling to and from the school every morning and afternoon on an old school bus and church van. All these children then crowd into one room after school for the Mercy Drive Achiever's Club, receiving tutoring help, snacks, and games.
Our brothers and sisters at Heart of Mercy saw a need and met it in faith, but they cannot continue to serve these precious children without additional space and volunteers. Additionally, on a Sunday morning, the children have no place to meet for worship or Sunday school, and end up outdoors playing, regardless of the weather.
This need could best be met through the addition of a Portable Building. Heart of Mercy Church has contributed $5000 (their entire building fund) to put toward this project, leaving $82,000 to be raised.
This financial need can be reduced with the help from volunteers and skilled professionals.
