Jim and Cindy Hynds
Jim & Cindy serve with Campus Crusade for Christ Int’l in Prague. Jim is the Czech Nat’l director, while Cindy & their 3 children support this ministry of evangelism and discipleship to students, families, and business professionals. The center of their ministry is “Mississippi Mud” where dozens of college students from several different countries show up for these weekly pot-luck gatherings to hear the Word. Students from the US serve in short-term ministry to assist the Hynds. jim.hynds@ccci.org
Needs: Prayer for the people of this hard-soiled country to be moved to faith in Christ.
Pray for long-term partnerships to help establish a strong campus ministry here.
Material needs include the Tyndale New Testament commentaries and the NIV Application Commentaries. Video editing software, photo shop software and a light-sized digital projector.
Joyce Layton
Joyce and her husband Gene, who was recently called home to the Lord, devoted their mission for more than a decade to widows and orphans in Ukraine. For years, a group of widows met weekly in the mission apartment for fellowship, a meal cooked by Gene, and Bible study with Joyce. In addition, the group made clothing for an orphanage, a women’s prison, and a facility for the mentally-challenged. Gene and Joyce taught English through their Bible studies, and spent their “free time” serving in a home/school for speech-impaired children, spreading the Word of Christ through their volunteer efforts.
Needs: Prayer for Joyce as she is discerning her ministry now that Gene is home with Christ.

Music Mission Kiev, led by Roger and Diane McMurrin
After 3 years in the Music Dept. at First Pres. (1990-93), God called Roger and Diane to Kyiv, Ukraine where they formed Music Mission Kiev in 1995. The goal: bring sacred musical masterpieces to the country of Ukraine, proclaiming the Gospel to and through Ukrainian musicians to the world. The ministry has grown to include a youth orchestra and chorus, the Orphan Rescue Mission, and Christian Children Clubs in schools, and the McMurrins have spread their music message across Eastern Europe and the world. www.musicmissionkiev.org
Needs: Pray for leadership transition when Matthew McMurrin and his family move to Kiev to become COO. Pray for continued growth of St. Paul’s Church, and the conversion of all our musicians who have heard the Gospel message. We could also use assistance in preparing for our annual Christmas Shoebox project for out widows ministry.
