| Wil has been a member of First Presbyterian Church for 5 years and has recently become the Worship Leader for the "Genesis" service. Wil served as the worship leader for the national "Impact Ministries" during 2004 - 2005. Impact ministries offer local mission and service opportunities for youth groups from all over the country. Wil has also served as youth intern/worship leader for First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg SC. In the greater Orlando area he has also served as worship leader for Orangewood Presbyterian Church in Maitland.
Although leading worship in a more contemporary setting is his passion, he is a Music Major at Rollins College where he is studying to obtain his degree in Music Education. He is deeply passionate about classical music and sings in the Chancel Choir and Canticum Novum ensemble. Wil wants "people to know that just because I lead a ‘contemporary’ service doesn’t mean that I view contemporary worship as the only valid form of worship. I have come to understand that people choose to worship differently. My prayer for First Pres would be that even though we have a ‘Traditional’ and a ‘Contemporary’ service, our congregation would view both as a pertinent form of worship no matter what the individual’s preference. God is doing powerful things at this church and I am so excited to be a part of it." |
