Weekday School is a preschool for ages two and a half to five years that seeks to enhance a child's spiritual, emotional, social, mental, and physical growth during their most formative years. Our goal is to prepare the whole child for kindergarten and beyond. Established in 1950 as a ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando , we acknowledge God as real and present.

Qualified teachers provide nurturing guidance, striving to help each child reach their God-given potential.

 

Weekday School focuses on helping children to become independent, self-confident and inquisitive learners, and encourages a positive self-image in children by teaching them how to learn and to foster a life-long love of learning.

 

Our facilities include spacious classrooms, beautiful playground, indoor playroom, woodworking room, computer lab, chapel and music/movement rooms…all in downtown Orlando. Approximately 190 children are enrolled.

It is through the many experiences of play that young children grow and develop an understanding of themselves, others, and the world in which they live. And, through daily interaction with children of the same age and with trained adults who are loving, skillful, and growing daily in their own faith, a young child has an increased opportunity to develop a Christian attitude and behavior.

School Hours 9am - 12noon Monday - Friday children ages 2-1/2 to 5 years 12noon - 2:00pm Monday - Thursday Lunch Bunch extended-day program

Our prayer is that Weekday School will be an example of what it is to live Christ-centered lives that "practice the presence of God." It is our hope that our christian faith will be contagious because of the love, peace and joy shared within this ministry. Weekday School provides a wide variety of opportunities for families to experience christian fellowship and growth.
