Heart of the City, History of the First Presbyterian Church, Orlando, Florida, 1976-1987 was written by FPCO member Nancy Hardy Abberger. Published in 1988 by The Heritage Committee, it is a delightful written account of past years, filled with interesting facts and stories that many of us have never heard. History is covered from the founding of the church by a small, dedicated group of christians to the acquisition of the property giving the church ownership of two original city blocks, the construction of many of the buildings on its campus, and the story of its wide-spread ministries. Included are 40 pages of photographs with three color pages of the stained glass windows.
